# Sign In to SAM Studio: Google, Microsoft, and Email

> Learn the different ways to log in to SAM Studio: Google SSO, Microsoft SSO, and email with password — including first-time setup and password reset.

SAM Studio supports three login methods so students and teachers can sign in with whatever credentials your school already uses. Head to [studio.samlabs.com](https://studio.samlabs.com) to get started — no app download required.

## Login methods

    Use this method if your school uses Google Workspace for Education. No extra configuration is needed for individual users.

        Select the **Sign in with Google** button on the login screen.

      <Step title="Choose your school account">
        Pick your school Google account from the account selector. If prompted, enter your school Google password.

      <Step title="You're in">
        SAM Studio opens directly to your dashboard. No separate SAM Studio password is needed.

  <Tab title="Microsoft Account">
    Use this method if your school uses Microsoft 365 or Azure Active Directory.

        Select the **Sign in with Microsoft** button on the login screen.

        Enter your school Microsoft email address and password when prompted.
      </Step>

      <Step title="You're in">
        SAM Studio opens directly to your dashboard. No separate SAM Studio password is needed.

    Use this method if your school does not use Google or Microsoft SSO, or if you prefer a standalone SAM Studio account.

        Navigate to [studio.samlabs.com](https://studio.samlabs.com).

      <Step title="Enter your email address">
        Type the email address associated with your SAM Studio account into the **Email** field.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Enter your password">
        Type your password into the **Password** field and click **Sign In**.
      </Step>

    <Note>
      **First-time login?** If this is your first time signing in with email and password, your account won't have a password set yet. Click **Reset Password** on the login screen, enter your email address, and follow the link sent to your inbox to create your password.

## Reset a forgotten password

If you already have an account but can't remember your password, you can reset it from the login screen.

    On the login screen at [studio.samlabs.com](https://studio.samlabs.com), click the **Forgot password?** link below the password field.

  <Step title="Enter your email address">
    Type the email address tied to your account and click **Send Reset Link**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your inbox">
    Open the reset email from SAM Labs and click the link inside. The link expires after 24 hours, so use it promptly.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a new password">
    Enter and confirm your new password, then click **Save**. You can now sign in with your new credentials.

<Tip>
  If you don't see the reset email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If it still hasn't arrived, ask your school IT administrator to check that emails from `samlabs.com` are not being blocked.

## Multiple students on one device

SAM Studio fully supports shared devices such as classroom Chromebooks or computer lab stations. Each student logs in with their own account and sees only their own projects and assignments.

    The first student signs in using any of the three login methods above.

  <Step title="Student completes their session">
    When the student is finished, they click their profile icon in the top-right corner and select **Log Out**.

  <Step title="Next student logs in">
    The next student signs in using their own account. Their projects and assignments load automatically.

<Warning>
  Remind students to always log out at the end of their session on a shared device. If a student closes the browser tab without logging out, the next student to open SAM Studio may see the previous student's account.
